Hello All,
So through much ponder on do we do a blog.. or not.. Do we have time, do we want to invite the world into our life?? Answer is YES! We do have time and it is not a bad thing to show others what is possible.
It all started for us last month when we were on a 2 week adventure that consisted of 16 states and 5700 miles on Subi that we decided that we were going to list our home for sale, look into "van life".. we didn't exactly know what that would look like. Once we returned from our amazing journey it really sank in that we can survive a "Simple Life" and not only can we survive in it we longed for it!
We listed our home for sale and found what we will be calling our new home at an amazing price. We purchased a 2014 Ram ProMaster Cargo Van and the planning and work began.. Pics to come later :) We call her Hanke.. she will have a full size bed, small potty, fridge, micro, table, room for our hiking gear and bikes.. and the bare essentials that one needs to live.
We believe it is all truly meant to be as our house sold in less than 72 hours and we will close on July 15th. We do not plan to rent or buy anything.. we plan to live in Hanke! We will be staying in Wisconsin as we still work in Jackson, WI but we will be living in Hanke permanently and traveling every chance we get. Our first adventure will begin July 15th after we close on the house we will be heading off into the sunset. We look forward to spending our 1 year anniversary in Twin Lakes, CO and also doing some trail magic on the Colorado Trail, we will see where else the wind blows us.
